Engagement...

So, like i've said earlier in my posts me and my girlfriend have been together for almost 7 years now. She is my high school sweetheart..that sounds so corny and i feel it's time to settle down but is it normal that i feel scared? I mean i guess it is because it is such a huge step in your life, but i feel like alot of marriages fail when you do it young. Although, my parents have been together 25 years (they were also high school sweethearts) and are still together. But from what i read a huge percentage of young people get married and their marriage fails within 3-5 years. It's just a scary thought. Maybe we shouldn't get married, until the time is right. I'm so confused. :(

Tmobile

Is there any good cell phone company out there?!!! I have tmobile and even though the bill never changes the prices for cell phone additionals are so expensive. They promote a new phone and you want it, then they turn around and tell you well you need to buy this and this and this for it to actually function how it does on your TV screen. Isn't this false advetisement? Yeah, yeah the fineprint...but since we've been in the new millenium and have had the newest technology ever come out in the past few years, can't we get something free? Yes, they have the "market" on these new phones which offer free games, but not only are the games horrible but they can bring viruses to your phone and freeze your phone periodically. So, what's so great about these phones and spending hundreds of dollars on this high tech gadgets? Absolutely NOTHING!

In the line of Duty

The saddest thing about working as a police officer or any type of public official is that you are always in danger. I'm more concerned about Officer Haymaker's tragic incident. It is so unfortunate that this man who i'm sure was close to retirement had his life ended while responding to a call. Because some goofs want to rob a cell phone store! It is tragic. As an officer you kind of have a feeling what you are getting yourself into, but this kind of changed my view of becoming a police officer. It's upsetting because the suspect is just going to jail for a felony robbery charge, they aren't going to charge him for his murder. This is just tragic. Does anyone feel like no justice is being done in this situation?

Chicago politics

Is it just me that feels like every person who is elected as a top position in our chicago government is somehow corrupt? How is it that this new guy has had a criminal history and almost killed his ex-girlfriend or prostitute, whatever the story is, how can he even run for a position? Do they not run a backround check on these guys? I work at menards and had to have a backround check for a job that pays a few thousand a year, but this guy who is running for a top position in our city who will definitely make alot more than me somehow got to bypass a backround check? How is that fair? What is wrong with this city? They would rather drain our pockets by making taxes higher than making this a better city to live in!!! this is not ok!! when will we get a decent politician in this city? does anyone feel this way?
